Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan, troops of the Cundinamarca Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), attached to the Thirteenth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Sijín of the National Police, arrested alias Pingüino, an alleged member of the AK-47 transnational organized crime group serving the Tren de Aragua in the department of Norte de Santander, in the municipality of San Cristóbal de Bogotá.
After months of investigative and military intelligence work, the commandos of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the police officers of the Sijin arrested the individual who was hiding in the capital city of the country and put him into custody of the judicial authority.
Alias Pingüino was in the list of the ten most wanted criminals in the Department of Norte de Santander due to the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, drug trafficking and homicide. A reward of up to 10 million pesos was provided for this individual, which became effective with his arrest.
In this way, the troops of the Thirteenth Brigade, unit of the Fifth Division of Colombian National Army, reaffirm their commitment to citizen security in the center of the country.
