During the military operation, troops were attacked with rifle fire from inside the houses of the zone.

During military operations, troops of the National Army, in coordination with the Police, captured in flagrante seven alleged members of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Los Contadores. One of the individuals would be alias Alfredo, who would be the person in charge of recruiting people in the villages of Guayacana and Zabaleta, in the municipality of Tumaco, Nariño, to strengthen the armed group.

During the procedure, the troops were attacked with rifle fire coming from the surroundings of the sector. Fortunately, and thanks to the expertise of the troops, they repelled the attack without any injured unit.

It took place in the village of La Viña and Vaquerio, in the municipality of Tumaco, Nariño. At the time of the extraction, some people tried in a riot to prevent the capture of the individuals and the seizure of the material found. Finally, thanks to the rapid reaction of the troops, the individuals were placed into custody of the authorities and must respond for the crime of manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.

Four 9mm pistols, a revolver, a shotgun, two sub-machine rifles, a grenade, 140 units of ammunition of different calibers, eight magazines for pistol and communications equipment were seized.
