Within the framework of the Unidos m谩s Seguros strategy, the Military Forces continue to conduct their fight against drug trafficking, with important results for the security of the region.
In a coordinated military operation, troops of the 26th Infantry Battalion, of the Ninth Brigade, and members of the Military Forces of the Huila Police found about 30 kilos of marijuana in the municipality of Paicol, Huila.
The finding was made during the search of a collective passenger transport vehicle, in which 29 packages of marijuana were traveling through the mode of courier. The illicit substance would have as a destination several municipalities in the west of the department de Huila.
Through this military operation, it was possible to withdraw approximately 15,000 doses of marijuana of the market, which directly contributes to dismantling drug trafficking networks and reducing the availability of this illicit substance, especially among children and young people in the area.
The finding of the drug highlights the success of the interception operations in the region, which not only hit the structures of drug trafficking, but in the same way protect young people from falling into the consumption of illicit substances.
