Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan, troops of the Cundinamarca Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), attached to the 13th Brigade of Colombian National Army, in a coordinated operation with units of the Criminal Investigation Directorate and INTERPOL of the National Police, reported the arrest of alias Rojo, a high strategic value individual, wanted by justice and included in the list of the most wanted of the department of Tolima.
The operation was carried out precisely in the village of Terán, a rural area of the municipality of Yacopí, where troops neutralized the threat without disturbing the inhabitants.
Alias Rojo is accused of multiple crimes, including association to commit aggravated crimes, drug trafficking, fuel seizure and reception. In addition, he was an area ringleader of the organized armed group GAO Clan del Golfo, and led an organized crime group (GDO) called Los de la Cumbre, with criminal activities in Cundinamarca department, Tolima department, Caldas department and Valle del Cauca.
