Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, troops of the Cundinamarca Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), Elite Gaula No. 2 and the Urban Special Forces Battalion No. 5 of the 13th Brigade, in coordination with the Group Against Currency Counterfeiting of the National Directorate of the CTI, dismantled a dollar factory that commits crimes in the city of Bogot谩.
After months of investigative work, the commandos and agents of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) arrived at the Tres Reyes neighborhood, in the municipality of Ciudad Bol铆var, where they found more than one million three hundred thousand fake dollars, as well as machinery for the production.
During the search procedure, an individual was in the same way arrested who belonged to an organized crime group specializing in the production of counterfeit money for drug trafficking structures and to defraud foreign currency buyers in Bogot谩 and Cundinamarca.
