In less than a week it was possible the neutralization of four individuals who would be members of a Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-R), in Tumaco, Nariño.

Continuing with the military operation, within the frame of the Plan Operacional Bicentenario Héroes de la Libertad (Bicentenary Operational Plan Heroes Of Freedom), troops of the Third Division of the National Army, after the neutralization of two individuals that would be members of the GAO-r in the Pacific coast of Nariño, continue affecting the residual Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the southwest of Colombia.

Military intelligence led the troops of the Third Division to deploy operations on the village La Isla, in the municipality of Tumaco, where it was possible to bring to justice one individual and capture another one, who would belong to the GAO-r Bloque Occidental Alfonso Cano. In the same way, 4 rifles, 4 hand grenades, 30 magazines, 1,671 ammunition cartridges, 3 heads, a mortar of improvised manufacture and abundant material of military accessories were seized.

This hits the logistical structures of these illegal groups that seek to disrupt law and order in the department of Nariño, and which are based on the drug trafficking business for its financing.
