In a recent operation carried out on the roads of the municipality of Altamira, Huila, the Army, within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan and in its fight against illicit activities, find 950 million pesos. This operation was carried out by troops of the Special Energy and Road Battalion No. 12 of the Ninth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police.
During the operation, a man was arrested in flagrante delicto and the motorcycle on which he was riding was immobilized. The finding took place on the I-45 highway, where the constant vigilance of the soldiers led to the finding of the money, which was hidden in an adapted trunk on the motorcycle.
This person could not justify the origin of the funds, which led to his arrest for the alleged crime of illicit enrichment.
The finding of this significant amount of money not only represents a blow to the criminal structures, but in the same way sends a clear message that the soldiers of Colombian National Army are determined to combat illegality and protect the inhabitants of Huila.
