As a result of the permanent operation carried out by the troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 4 of the Army in the south of the department of Cauca, and in response to the recent criminal actions carried out by the residual organized armed group Carlos Patiño, the troops of this military unit neutralized 15 members of this illegal structure, in an operation aimed at a camp area in the village of La Hacienda, village of El Plateado, in Argelia.
Military intelligence work led to the finding of this site used as a camp by members of this GAO-r, and from where the attacks on the troops around this village, as well as against the inhabitants, have originated.
Through artillery fire support and the use of platforms, the troops hit this armed group, leaving as a result in the same way a dozen wounded.
