This structure would produce nearly 1,600 million pesos per month for the Organized Crime Group, GDO, Los Chatas.

Troops of the National Army, in military operations against crime factors in the department of Antioquia, with the support of the National Police and in response to early warning No. 026 of 2018, destroyed a laboratory that was used by Organized Crime Group, GDO, Los Chatas, for the production of narcotic drugs.

The military operation was carried out in the sector known as La Arauca, municipality of San Francisco, in Antioquia, where the soldiers received information from the Civic Participation Network about the possible discovery of three structures for drug production, which were in the same way generating serious environmental damage by the dumping of chemicals in water sources.

Approximately 4,564 liters of acetone, 65 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 216 liters of acid, 234 liters of fuels, 40 kilos of potassium permanganate, 50 kilos of coal, 125 kilos of calcium chloride and other items used for the production of narcotic drugs were found and destroyed at the site.

This result damages the finances of the GDO Los Chatas. On the area where the military operation took place, the troops continue the search for criminals, with the aim of neutralizing their criminal intentions.
