With the arrest of six members of this group, we can neutralize the problem of drug trafficking and disarm the chain of crime in the north of Tolima.
Soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.6 Patriotas of the Sixth Brigade of the National Army, in conjunction with the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, achieved the arrest of six members of the organized gang Los Cacharros, in the municipality of Venadillo, by means of search warrants issued by the Attorney General's Office of the Nation.
More than a year ago, this Organized Gang (GDO) was harming young people and adults in this municipality of the north of Tolima, through door-to-door distribution of hallucinogenic substances reaching the neighborhoods of Santofimio, Pueblo Nuevo, the invasion zone Chircal, Pavimentos Colombia, Turumana and Lorenzo Urueña and schools.
Within the framework of the operation, it was possible to find 1,111 doses of bazuko (crack), 1,800 doses of marijuana in two packs, everything would cost approximately $16 million pesos.
The six arrested were put into custody of the prosecutor's office for the crimes of drug trafficking, association to commit crimes for the purposes of drug trafficking, personal injuries, threats, domestic violence, damage to the property of others and aggravated theft.
