This result occurs in the framework of heavy military operations that are carried out in the lower Cauca region, in Antioquia and southern Córdoba. Troops seek to dismantle the organized armed groups that commit crimes on this mobility route.

Troops of the National Army, in the Aquiles military and police campaign, continuously conducted against crime factors in the department of Antioquia in response to early warnings No. 028 of 2018 and 020 of 2019, destroyed an important coca base paste laboratory of the Julio César Vargas Substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.

The military operation was carried out in the municipality known as El Doce, in a rural area of the municipality of Tarazá, in Antioquia. Army soldiers received information from the civil Participation network, which generated the successful operation. Upon inspection, they found and dismantled a narcotics laboratory with abundant solid and liquid precursors.

At the site, 100 liters of processed liquid coca base paste, 55 liters of DIESEL, 40 liters of gasoline, 40 liters of lime, 20 kilograms of ammonia, bags of cement and elements for the production of drugs were found.
