Through unified operation and in support of the civil authority, soldiers of the Engineer Battalion No.7, attended the inhabitants in this emergency caused by rains by sudden rising of the water tributary, in the village San Isidro del Ariari.

With the activation of the Unified Command Post by the National Unit for Risk Management, the National Army, El Dorado Mayor's Office, Meta, National Police, Civil Defense and Communal Action Board, implemented a contingency plan to evacuate 11 families living in the vicinity of the Ariari River, who were at risk, due to the overflow of the Ariari river and the Viejo River, due to the heavy rains of recent days.

Soldiers of the Engineer Battalion No.7 of the Seventh Brigade, arrived at the scene with specialized personnel and rescue teams to provide support in this emergency, and the evacuation of the people was carried out safeguarding the lives of the families. The National Army has trained and qualified troops to support Colombians due to natural and environmental disasters, such as floods, avalanches or landslides.

The rains wave not only put the lives of families at risk, but in the same way leaves significant economic losses, damaging the access roads to the place due to constant landslides, loss of plantations and farm animals.
