Thanks to this result, it contributes to the decrease in homicide rates in both regions; in the same way, operations continue in order to find the coordinators of this network.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 5, the Quind铆o Traffic Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office carried out an operation in the municipality of Calarc谩, Quind铆o, in the Versalles sector, where they arrested an individual who, apparently, was trafficking in weapons and ammunition.
This result was possible through military intelligence work that led to the establishment of the modus operandi and the finding of the individual, who was a driver of an interdepartmental transport company.
While alias Mister was traveling as a passenger of a bus in the Versalles sector of that municipality he was intercepted by soldiers of the High Mountain Battalion N潞 5 when he was about to negotiate the weapons with another individual.
It was then that the troops said to him that he had a valid arrest warrant. During the procedure, a Smith Wesson 38 mm caliber revolver, a Walther brand pistol, a magazine, 13 9 mm caliber cartridges, 6 38 mm caliber cartridges and a cell phone were found by troops.
Everything would indicate that this man specialized in the sale of weapons and ammunition of all calibers whose customers were, apparently, members of illegal armed groups, structures that commit crimes in the department of Valle del Cauca and bordering area with the department of Quind铆o.
