Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan of Colombian National Army, troops of the 28th Infantry Battalion Colombia, with the support of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Thirteenth Brigade, in coordination with the Cundinamarca Police and the Attorney General's Office, in the city of Girardot, arrested alias Coco or Perico, alleged responsible for the murder of social leader Israel Romero Rojas, on August 8, 2024, in a rural area of Cundinamarca.
After months of investigative and intelligence work, the men of Colombian National Army and the National Police, together with officials of the Attorney General's Office, arrived at a house in the Altos del Pe帽贸n neighborhood, where they made effective the arrest warrant against Olivera Montoya, who was a fugitive from justice.
According to the investigation of the authorities, which is part of the national strategy for the clarification of homicides of social leaders, alias Coco belongs to a criminal structure responsible for invading, threatening and violently obtaining vacant lands in the department of Cundinamarca.
