These individuals are accused of the crime of association to commit crimes for extortion purposes.
In the framework of military operations of the Ayacucho Plus Plan, soldiers of the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Cesar, of the Tenth Brigade, in a coordinated and inter-institutional work with the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, arrested in flagrante delicto three alleged members of the criminal component of the Francisco José Mórelo Peñate Substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo, in the village Villa Germania, municipality of Valledupar, in the department of Cesar.
The arrested, identified as alias Caliche and alias Negro, would be in charge of planning and executing the collection of money from extortion against different productive groups of the department, as well as carrying out control activities of hallucinogenic substances for distribution in the municipalities of Valledupar, Bosconia, El Copey and El tránsito.
During the operation, a shotgun was found as well as 200 doses of marijuana, valued at COP 2,000,000; 900 doses of cocaine and 2 kilos of the drug, with a cost of COP 9,000,000; 500 doses of bazuco (crack) valued at COP 5,000,000, and supplies for its manufacture and material alluding to the Gaitanist Army of Colombia.
