The only oxygen generator that the main healthcare center in Leticia has, which is in the same way in charge of supplying this vital element to face the covid-19 pandemic, is again in operation.

A non-commissioned officer and a soldier of the National Army's 26th Jungle Brigade were in charge of repairing and putting into operation the only oxygen generator at the San Rafael hospital in Leticia, in the department of Amazonas. This generator, fundamental at the moment, serves to provide medical assistance to people with symptoms corresponding to covid-19.

Military maintenance personnel, trained and prepared in the field of Electrical Engineering, put their knowledge and experience into practice to repair the machine, in order to benefit the communities of Leticia, in Colombia, Tabatinga, in the neighboring country of Brazil and Santa Rosa, in Peru, with the generation of oxygen. This element becomes a vital ally of the doctors and nurses who are battling against the virus.

It was thought that the repair of the oxygen generator would take several days, even weeks, for reasons of distance and the situation, even so, the civil authorities asked the National Army, where they found an immediate response that became a solution that today helps many people.
