Guaviare. In the framework of the Bicentenary Campaign Plan, the Heroes of Freedom of the Army, against the residual Organized Armed Group, Structure Primera, two deadly traps were found. Apparently, they would have been abandoned to attack on the soldiers in operations in the area and the community.

Initially, troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 19, a unit of the Jungle Brigade No. 22, reported the discovery and neutralization of two powerful explosive devices, which were found by "Candy", a canine that supports the search and military control of the area conducted by the troops in the middle of an area covered with vegetation.

In the military operation that was carried out in Las Charras village, in the municipality of San José del Guaviare, it was found that the explosive devices had an activation system by cable command, which means that they could be activated in a controlled way by a person.

These war elements were neutralized under controlled conditions by military experts of the Explosives and Demolitions Team - DELTA.

To date 158 explosive devices, 456 antipersonnel mines, 858 kg of explosives and 362 meters of detonating cord have been discovered and destroyed by the soldiers of the Jungle Brigade No. 22 in 2019, which affirms the commitment to provide security.
