The member of the Military Forces was participating in territorial control operations in Mapirip谩n when he was bitten by a snake.
National Army troops, in a rapid military operation coordinated with the Air Assault Aviation Division, successfully evacuated in a military aircraft a soldier who suffered a venomous snake bite, in rural area of the department of Meta.
The action was reported in the Rinc贸n del Indio sector, municipality of Mapirip谩n, once they realized what had happened, the combat nurse approached to give him first aid, while he was taken out of the area in order to save his life.
The prompt reaction and the effective medical assistance led him to receive timely specialized assistance at the Medical Dispensary of Oriente, in Apiay, Villavicencio. The medical personnel report that the soldier is under observation and he is out of danger.
