The individual, in addition to being in charge of extortion, would be involved in threats, sacrifice of livestock and the murder of a farmer in Cajamarca.
Soldiers of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Tolima, of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army, the Investigative Group for personal Freedom CTI (Technical Investigations Corps), the Metropolitan Police of Ibagué, with its Gaula component, in coordination with the Attorney General's Office, arrested in flagrante delicto alias Fredy, who would be part of the criminal organization that presented to be dissidents of the FARC, this individual was sowing terror in the rural area of the municipality of Cajamarca, in recent hours was arrested in the village Los Tunjos.
The man, who would be part of a criminal structure specialized in the crime of extortion, had been carrying out monetary extortion since July 2023, which began at 2 million pesos and was already going 5 million against an inhabitant of the area. This by claiming to be a member of the FARC dissidents, a group that was in several occasions on the victim's farm, intimidating one of his workers with firearms, and forbidding him to carry out his daily agricultural work, through threats against the life of the victim and that of his relatives.
Finally, they committed their crime on October 22, 2023, when they apparently attacked the life of Mr. Campo Elías Vaca Rodríguez, whose worker was the object of threats by the gang that was arrested today.
The arrested was put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office 81 Local- Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) for his respective prosecution for the crime of aggravated extortion and the Eighth Municipal Court legalized the procedure, and ordered measure of imprisonment.
