This individual would have more than 20 years of criminal experience in the service of illegal armed groups on the Pacific coast.

In military operations conducted in an inter-institutional manner with the Attorney General's Office, troops of the National Army arrested alias Rentería, who would be the ringleader of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Los Contadores and in turn the coordinator of hitmen of this criminal organization in the department of Nariño.

The arrest of alias Renteria was made in El Cabuyal, municipality of the Candelaria municipality in the department of Valle del Cauca. He would be responsible for the crimes of association to commit aggravated crimes, trafficking or carrying weapons for the exclusive use of the Military Forces and homicide aggravated.

This individual, apparently is the coordinator of assassins and he would be the perpetrator and brain of targeted killings in the frame of territorial disputes to get the drug trade, the collection of money from extortion; in addition, he would be responsible for the forced displacement of civilians in the municipalities La Guayacana and Llorente in San Andrés de Tumaco, in the department of Nariño.

This important result contributes to the clarification of the murders of social leaders in this area of the country and results in Los Contadores losing of control over strategic mobility routes for drug trafficking and the shipment of cocaine hydrochloride to Central America, directly damaging its illicit activity.
