Information provided by military intelligence, led to establish that this guy was apparently in charge of planning, conducting criminal intelligence, and executing terrorist operations by throwing a hand grenade, the October 19, 2021, in the municipality of Inírida, Guainía, an action that left as a result two soldiers killed and nine more wounded.
The joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work of the Colombian Navy with the National Army, the Colombian Air Force, the SIJIN Criminal Investigation Units (JUDICIAL POLICE) of the National Police and the Attorney General's Office led to the execution of the arrest warrant against Juan Pablo Barrios Cita, alias Junior, alleged member of the terrorist support network (RAT), of the José Daniel Pérez Carrero front of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, in the Libertadores Neighborhood, in the municipality of Inírida, in the department of Guainía.
Based on earlier research, this individual is accused of being a militiaman in urban network of experts in explosives of the GAO ELN, two years ago and his main function was to plan, lead and execute terrorist acts in the departments of Vichada and Guainía, having as a center of criminal operations the municipality of Inírida. In the same way, he perpetrated criminal intelligence to the Military Forces and transported food and supplies for the production of narcotics, weapons, military equipment and explosives in boats along the Inírida, Guaviare and Orinoco rivers, for this terrorist group.
About this individual, it is in the same way known that recently he was driving a motorcycle that was used as a front for crime. And it is presumed that he was responsible for planning and carrying out the terrorist operation by throwing a hand grenade, an inhuman act where two soldiers of the National Army were killed and nine more were wounded, on October 19, 2021, in the municipality of Inírida, Guainía.
The individual arrested was brought to the authorities and will be prosecuted for the crimes of homicide, terrorism, association to commit crimes, attempted murder, manufacture carrying and trafficking in firearms and use of clothing for the exclusive use of the Military Forces and rebellion, among others.
