Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan, troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 6, attached to the Sixth Division of Colombian National Army, reported the arrest of alias Patepalo, head of the support network for residual structures (RAER) and logistical coordinator of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Raul Reyes Structure.
The military operation was carried out in the rural area of the village of El Gallinazo, municipality of Puerto Guzmán, Putumayo, thanks to information provided by military intelligence of the Military Intelligence Support Battalion No. 6, with the support of the intelligence component of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office.
According to the information, alias Patepalo has been part of illegal armed structures for more than seven years, being a key player in the logistical support of this criminal organization in rural areas of Puerto Guzmán.
This man was in charge of facilitating the supply of military and logistical material destined for the different structures of the GAO-r that commits crimes in the department.
The arrest would be the right-hand of the ringleaders alias Danilo Alvizu and alias Italo or Diablo, with criminal interference in the municipalities of Puerto Guzmán, Putumayo, and Solita, Caquetá.
Alias Patepalo was put into custody of the judicial authority, and a judge endorsed the legality of the arrest, in his prosecution process.
