Once again, the Military Air Transport Command, CATAM, of the Colombian Aerospace Force, was the reception and arrival center for the Heads of State of Brazil, Bolivia and Ecuador, who will participate in the Amazon Countries Summit, a space for strengthening regional cooperation and commitment to the protection of the Amazonas region, which will take place at the Casa de Nariño, in Bogotá.
The CATAM military base, which was dressed up for honors, welcomed to the country the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora and the Vice President of the Republic of Ecuador, María José Pinto.
The leaders, attending the V meeting of presidents of the States parties to the Amazon Cooperation treaty, were received by the (acting) Foreign Minister Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio, the Director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic, DAPRE, Angie Rodríguez and Brigadier General Víctor Alexander Celis, Commander of CATAM.
