The Colombian Navy and the National Police, in the course of a coordinated operation, arrested four alleged members of the Organized Crime Group, GDO, Los Escolares, who had links with the Manuel José Gaitán substructure of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The operation was carried out simultaneously in the sectors known as San Pedro and Las Cejas of the municipality of Sincé, where troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Sucre and the Battalion of Navy Infantry No.14, attached to Navy Brigade No.1 accompanied by of members of the Military Forces of the SIJIN of the National Police, to comply with a judicial search order issued by the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.
During the search, it was possible to arrest alias Mary, 27 years; alias Yoryo, 34; alias Jose Monky, 36; and alias José Sal, 53, who had with them 82 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, 69 grams of bazuco (crack), a precision scale, five cell phones, and cash from the sale of narcotics in school environments in the municipality of Sincé.
Those arrested who will have to answer for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics were put into custody of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, apparently carried out their criminal activities in the Sucreña savannah, marketing the substances in the school environments of the municipality of Sincé.
This year, the Navy Brigade No.1 has managed to arrest 91 people linked to this organized Armed Group in the department of Sucre, who by their criminal operations seek to disrupt the tranquility and security of the Sucreños (inhabitants of Sucre).
