This guy would be one of the most wanted men in Colombia for carrying out terrorist operations against the inhabitants and the Military Forces.
Troops of the Twelfth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police, while carrying out search and control tasks in the village of La Aguililla, a rural area of the municipality of Puerto Rico, Caquetá, noticed the suspicious attitude of a man who, when wanted by the troops, tried to draw a firearm against the soldiers.
Once the identity of the individual was verified, it was possible to establish that he was José Ernesto Rivas Mosquera, known by the alias of Negro Nicolay, second ringleader of the Marco Aurelio Buendía Structure, of the Jorge Briceño Bloc, with a valid arrest warrant and who is wanted by Interpol, for the crime of association to commit crimes, forced displacement and aggravated homicide.
It is important to mention that this individual would have been involved in a past terrorist operation against the Military Forces in the municipality of Vista Hermosa, department of Meta, with the activation of explosive devices that left four military personnel seriously injured.
Alias El Negro Nicolay was on the list of the most wanted nationwide by 2020 and 2021, for murders of social leaders.
This individual was put into custody of the authorities, as well as the elements that were found by troops on him: a firearm, cartridges and magazines.
