The Colombian Navy deployed a significant number of men to make possible the safe return of more than 900 people of the indigenous communities of el Brazo, Posamanza, Boroboro and Bacurru Purru, in the department of Choc贸, who were forced displaced, on December 4.

Troops of the Navy Battalion No.23 of the Pacific Naval Force have intensified territorial control, surveillance and security operations in these communities, in the rural area of Bah铆a Solano, to continue protecting civilians, maintaining river and territorial control and to ensure safe conditions for the return of the displaced families.

The Commander of the Navy Brigade No.2 and the Commander of the Navy Battalion No.23 took action in the working groups with the social leaders of these indigenous communities, the City Hall of Bah铆a Solano, the National Police, the Control Corps and other institutions, which allowed the safe return of these families.

In the same way, military personnel of the Pacific Air Force Group carried out overflights, thus ratifying the commitment by permanent work to strengthen and intensify air patrols and surveillance and control operations. Navy Infantry Battalion No.23 will be deployed throughout the territory to consolidate and stabilize an atmosphere of complete peace, due to the permanent work of the troops.
