Authorities intervened on sectors of Bucaramanga in the fight against micro-trafficking and other crimes

This coordination has been carried out with the aim of increasing the perception of security and attacking the different factors of instability in urban areas of the metropolitan area.

 

Troops of the Engineer Battalion No.5 Coronel Francisco Jos茅 de Caldas and the Combat Support and Services Battalion No.5 Mercedes 脕brego of the Fifth Brigade, of the Second Division, in collaboration with the National Police, the mayor of Bucaramanga, the Directorate of transit and Migration Colombia, intervened several sectors of the Santander capital city, leaving as a result four individuals arrested, more than a thousand doses of narcotics and 16 knives seized.

 

The interventions were carried out in four points of the city center, in the Central Market Square, la Cabecera and La Concordia neighborhood, reaching 18 commercial establishments and 12 hotels.

 

This coordinate work makes part of three fundamental operations that has been conducted, permanently in Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area. The first of them is accompanied by patrols conducted by the National Police, in targeted areas, which leave 32 patrols; the second are interventions as of today, in which the authorities arrive at specific sites to report and verify records, the third is high-impact activities in coordination with the Police, in sectors previously defined.

 

These works have to hit the factors of instability in urban areas, mainly attacking micro-trafficking and contributing to the sense of security. Military operations continue to carry out to continue to ratify our commitment to contribute to the tranquility of the inhabitants.
