On the facilities of the Navy Brigade No.1, in Corozal, Sucre, the local government through the Human Rights Office, the International Law Office and the Peace Office of the Department, delivered three tents with capacity to house up to 30 people, which will be used as mobile training centers to carry out in a more agile manner the training processes that will be led by the Humanitarian Demining Brigade attached to the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1.

These activities aimed to provide tools that help citizens to identify this type of explosive devices and to understand the actions to follow if they find one of them in their territories.

Since 2011, the brigade has demined more than five million square meters in 13 municipalities of the departments of Sucre and Bolivar. In addition, this brigade has neutralized 228 explosive devices in this region, which allowed the safe return of the inhabitants to their hometown.

In the coming days, this group of men, committed to the consolidation of peace in the territory, will begin demining work after an arduous training.
