As part of the strengthening of the differential resources of Colombian National Army's military operation, the 3rd Aviation Battalion carried out firefighting exercises using night vision goggles, with the aim of maintaining a permanent and effective response capacity to emergency situations, 24 hours a day.
These maneuvers enable MI-17 helicopter crews and technical personnel to train specialized procedures in low visibility conditions, increasing levels of safety, coordination and precision in complex environments.
Night training is essential to work for the continuity of air operations in support of disaster and emergency care that hit the inhabitants.
Through these types of exercises, Colombian National Army reaffirms its commitment to permanent preparedness, the protection of life and the strengthening of its resources to act in a timely manner in any region of the country.
