With awareness-raising operations in Antioquia, the Air Force promotes a preventive campaign against anti-personnel mines

With overflights over the rural area and municipal seat of the municipality of Briceño in the department of Antioquia, a UH-60 helicopter of the Air Combat Command No.5 carried out awareness-raising operations with powerful aerial loudspeaker equipment and the launch of brochures, inviting residents to report criminal acts and promoting self-care to face situations with improvised explosive devices.

These aerial awareness-raising operations were carried out in the northern Antioquia region thanks to the joint and coordinated work conducted by the Air Force, the National Army, the National Police and the Government of Antioquia, an effort that seeks to prevent and raise people's awareness about the risks of anti-personnel mines.

With this type of information support missions and thanks to the resources of the Colombian Air Force aircraft, it was possible to reach difficult-to-access regions and strategic points of the departments of Antioquia and Chocó, spreading clear messages informing citizens about the assistance lines to report suspicious or criminal operations.
