The Colombian Aerospace Force, in coordination with the National Personnel Center- CENRP, carried out the aeromedical transfer from Yopal, Casanare department, to Bogot谩, of a 28-day-old baby who required specialized medical assistance in a neonatal Intensive Care Unit, due to his delicate health condition.
This is how the Institution sent a King-350 ambulance a aircraft, equipped with a neonatal incubator, of the Military Transport Air Command- CATAM to the Casanare-GACAS Air Group to provide support in the transfer request of the minor accompanied by his mother, who was in the Regional Hospital of Orinoquia since last Friday, to later be referred to the Central Military Hospital.
The aeromedical transfer is a capability of the Colombian Aerospace Force, which so far in 2024 has led to supporting 274 patients from different parts of the national territory to capital cities, to receive timely specialized care.
These flights are carried out by crews made up of Pilots, Flight technicians, medical specialists and military nurses, who with professionalism and using the latest biomedical equipment, monitor the stability of patients' vital signs during the flight.
This is how the Colombian Aerospace Force will continue to use all its resources and crews at the service of the country, to support the most vulnerable villages.
