Thanks to military intelligence, troops of the Thirtieth Brigade and units of the Police of Norte de Santander arrived to the municipality of Buenavista, rural area of the municipality of Ocaña, where it was possible to capture five people, who would be members of the Organized Armed Group (GAO) Pelusos.
These individuals were intercepted by the troops when they were moving in a vehicle. At the time of the inspection, troops found five 5.56 caliber M4 rifles, a Mini Uzi, a Mosberg shotgun, a shotgun with a riflescope, three 9 mm caliber pistols, four magazines for pistol and five magazines for rifle. Also the vehicle was seized.
Those captured, the arsenal and the vehicle were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office, in order to continue its judicial process.
With these results, the men and women of the National Army ratify the commitment to fight against the Organized Armed Groups in Norte de Santander.
