Blow to the criminal structure La Empresa, in Magdalena Centro

As a result of a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force, the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the General Attorney’s Office and the Judicial Investigation Section, SIJIN (Judicial Police) of Caldas of the National Police, an operation was carried out against the Organized Gang (GDO) La Empresa, which commits crimes in the Magdalena Centro region.

 

In this operation, it was possible to capture four members of the GDO: alias Camilo, alias El Armero, alias El Lanchero and alias El Ingeniero, who were required by the authorities with arrest warrants issued by the Second Promiscuous Municipal Court of La Dorada, Caldas, for the crimes of association to commit crimes and aggravated homicide, illegal possession of firearms, forced disappearance, extortion and drug trafficking. Those captured were put into custody of the authorities.

 

During the search maneuvers, it was possible to find a laptop and two cell phones.

 

This organization has as sources of financing, extortive activities against merchants, shopkeepers, ranchers, farmers, drug store owners, hotels, moneylenders, as well as the transportation sector.

 

In the same way, they profit of the trafficking, commercialization and distribution of narcotic substances in different modalities, as well as firearms trafficking, taking advantage of the river and land mobility routes from the central and northern departments of the country.
