In a series of joint and coordinated operations, led by the Colombian Aerospace Force, Colombian National Army, the Colombian Navy, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, it was possible to find and neutralize five clandestine laboratories specialized in the production of coca base paste in the municipality of Cumaribo, department of Vichada. This joint work not only strengthens the work of the State in vulnerable areas, but in the same way contributes to the dismantling of drug trafficking networks that disturb the tranquility of the nation.
The operation was possible thanks to a detailed intelligence work and image analysis, which led the Military and police Forces to find 955 gallons of coca paste base in process, 830 gallons of DIESEL, 805 gallons of gasoline and 362 kilograms of lime, among other crucial elements for the production and distribution of drugs in the region.
In the same way, after the inspection of two vehicles traveling in the same region, it was possible to find 1,084 sacks, with approximately 47,673 kilograms, of a material that is allegedly related to illegal mining, which were put into custody of the authorities, along with all the material confiscated for the corresponding procedures.
This maneuver represents a resounding blow against the illicit activities of criminal groups, significantly weakening their financial and military operations capacity in the region by approximately $5,248,022,400
