At least 15 members of the Carlos Patiño structure of the so-called Central Staff of the FARC dissidents reportedly died during military operations in rural Argelia, south of the department of Cauca.

In this military operation, carried out by troops of Colombian National Army and the Air Force, support weapons fired from the ground were used (which have an approximate effective range by 200 meters and 5 kilometers) they have millimetric accuracy which prevents collateral damage to the inhabitants.
At this time, the troops are traveling to the scene of the events to verify the situation.
The military operation against the FARC dissidents continues in that area of the department and in the coming hours more troops will arrive in the area to strengthen the operations against the different criminal structures of the so-called Central General Military staff.
From that area, the so-called Central General Staff has been planning and executing terrorist attacks such as those of the last April 17 and 19, where Soldier Jhon Valderrama Valbuena was killed.
