Firearms, a Mini Uzi submachinegun, narcotics and communication equipment were seized in the operation, hitting the resources of the organized gang.
Troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Valle de Aburrá, of the Fourth Brigade, with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), reported the arrest of two alleged members of the organized gang, GDO, Los Chatas, in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Osos, department of Antioquia.
The operation was carried out through a search procedure to a building in the village of Dosquebradas, where two men were arrested, who must face charges for the alleged crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, and trafficking, manufacturing or carrying narcotics.
During the operation, two pistols, three magazines for pistols, a Mini Uzi submachinegun with its respective magazine, a sound suppressor for pistols, seven communication radios with magazines, 321 coca base paste packs, 92 additional doses of this substance ready for marketing, 12 packages with marijuana cigarettes and five cell phones were seized.
This result of the military operation represents a loss to the logistical and criminal resources of this criminal structure, by preventing the circulation of illicit substances and decimates the armed capacity to carry out criminal acts in the north of the department. The arrested and the confiscated items were put into custody of the authorities to conduct the respective prosecution process.
