Blow to drug trafficking for more than 38.5 million dollars: Army broke up 308 illegal constructions in March

Golpe al narcotráfico por más de 38,5 millones de dólares: Ejército desmanteló 308 infraestructuras ilegales en marzo

During March, military operations conducted throughout the national territory led to the seizure of more than 16 tons of cocaine hydrochloride, 687 kilograms of coca paste base and more than 6.4 tons of marijuana, with an estimated cost of more than 32.5 million dollars.

These actions directly hit the finances of drug trafficking, preventing the circulation of approximately 16.3 million doses of cocaine and 324,000 doses of marijuana in illegal markets, thus contributing to the protection of health and life, both of Colombians and citizens abroad.

As part of this sustained operation, 26 laboratories for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, valued at more than $4 million, were and destroyed, as well as 282 illegal constructions intended for the production of coca paste base. In total, 308 structures serving drug trafficking were neutralized.

In addition, National Army soldiers destroyed 20 illicit seedbeds, seized 44.5 kilograms of coca leaf and seized 48 kilograms of heroin.

These results reflect the capacity of the military operation, the permanent activity and the sustained operation of Colombian National Army, reaffirming its commitment to the fight against drug trafficking and to the protection of the security and well-being of all Colombians.

Colombian National Army invites citizens to report any activity related to this crime through the toll-free line 107.
