As part of the Ayacucho Plus campaign plan, troops of the 22nd Rainforest Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with units of the National Police, found 1,200 kilograms of pressed marijuana in Guaviare, apparently of the department of Cauca, whose final destination would be the Federative Republic of Brazil.
The operation, carried out through military intelligence and territorial control by soldiers of the 24th General Luis Carlos Camacho Leyva Rainforest Infantry Battalion, led to the interception of a vehicle in the village of San Isidro Dos, municipality of El Retorno. In addition to the hallucinogen, it was possible to immobilize the car and arrest an individual, who was put into custody of the authorities for the respective prosecution.
This result represents an estimated damage of more than 748 million pesos to the illicit finances of organized crime structures with transnational links. This is an operation that weakens the logistical chains of drug trafficking and dismantles illegal routes that threaten security in Colombia and neighboring countries.
