Bodies of indigenous family were taken to Cauca by Army helicopter

A Mi-17 helicopter left Tolemaida to carry out the transfer of these people, who died during the emergency caused by rains in the municipality of Viot谩, Cundinamarca.

 

The support mission began around 07:30 in the morning when the emblematic Mi-17 helicopter of operation Jaque, went to the municipality of Tocaima, Cundinamarca, where three of the bodies of the indigenous people, who lost their lives when they were buried by an avalanche in the municipality of Liberia Baja, rural area of Viot谩, on April 22, along with two other relatives, who have not yet been found.

 

The coffins were transported by air thanks to this humanitarian support to the municipality of Inz谩, Cauca, accompanied by the Personera of Viot谩, Diana Margarita C贸rdoba Pinz贸n, who formally gave the bodies to the relatives, for the funeral honors in the Yaquiv谩 indigenous reserve.

 

The deceased are Miguel Antonio Pencue Quiguanas, Stella Pencue Quiguanas and Jacinta Quiguanas Quiguanas.
