The Fifth Division of Colombian National Army is leading an important awareness-raising and prevention activity against the illicit recruitment of children and adolescents, under the Don't let them recruit your dreams campaign.
At the 13th Military Police Battalion, the 13th Brigade, with the accompaniment of civil authorities of Soacha and Bogotá, as well as delegates of the Children and Adolescents Police and various organizations, launched this initiative that seeks to prevent the forced recruitment of children and adolescents in Bogotá and the department of Cundinamarca, protecting their life project and strengthening security in the territories.
Brigade 13th launched in Bogotá a preventive campaign against the recruitment of minors,
at the Thirteenth Brigade, unit of the Fifth Division, we call on all citizens, especially parents, educators, community leaders, young people and children of the center of the country to join this campaign that in the same way seeks to encourage reporting through line 141 of the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute.
It is essential that the shared responsibility of institutions, Military Forces, families and the community be recognized to protect children and adolescents from this serious violation of human rights.
