These people would be responsible for several crimes against freedom of people in a vulnerable condition.
A powerful operation carried out in the capital city of Santander by troops of Colombian National Army and the Attorney General's Office, left the arrest of 21 people, including 7 women and 14 men, who, apparently, would be using foundations as covers to commit crimes against the personal freedom of homeless, elderly, among others.
For more than a year, intelligence work of the Santander Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and with the support of the Combat Engineer Battalion No. 5, led to the finding of the whereabouts of these people and their modus operandi, who, through eight foundations, with different corporate names, in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga, would be committing various abuses against their victims.
This criminal network, which mostly belonged to the same family, was part of the organized crime group Casa de Tortura. These people were arrested through search warrants issued by the Prosecutor's Office and, before the authority, the group will have to answer for the alleged crimes of association to commit crimes, kidnapping, homicide, forced disappearance, torture, violation and drug trafficking.
