As part of two operations conducted by the Colombian Navy, the Attorney General's Office and the National Police in Buenaventura, four men carrying weapons, pieces of weaponry and cocaine hydrochloride were arrested in flagrante delicto.
In the first procedure, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Colombian Navy and personnel of the Technical Corps of Judicial Investigation – CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) and of the National Unit of Police Intervention and Antiterrorism - Unipol, arrived in the locality 10 of Buenaventura, where they were arrested in flagrante delicto, two men who were carrying two firearms and seven 38 mm cartridges.
These individuals, alias Lincolin or Mata policías and alias Pulmon, alleged members of the Los Espartanos faction of the La Local Organized Gang, are accused of generating anxiety, threatening and extorting money of the inhabitants.
In the same way, in locality 7 of the Special District of Buenaventura, two alleged members of the Los Shottas faction were arrested, with parts of weapons and a rectangular package that, due to its color and odor characteristics, resembled cocaine hydrochloride. The National Police carried out the Approved Preliminary Identification Test, which left positive result for one kilogram of drug.
Those arrested were put into custody of the authorities, who ordered them to be detained.
