Cacao, the product that changed the lives of hundreds of families in Vichada

Once again, the Colombian Air Force serves the Vichada families with all its logistical resources and valuable human talent, to transport the product that has changed more than 3,200 lives in the Vichada Department: le Cacao.

 

By means of cargo transport, three tons of fertilizer of the Proagro Association, arrived in Vichada, for the comprehensive development of this productive project, which today collects the fruits of this harvest, thanks to the training received of the company Casa Luker, and good practices in cultivation.

 

In the course of this year, the Colombian Air Force has served 12 hours of flight in three air operations supports to support Cacao farmers, transporting the total amount of 15,050 kilos of Cacao, a figure that exceeds the annual production of the last four periods.

 

The efforts conducted in this successful program of restitution of illicit plantations, has motivated more families, who have expressed their intention to link to the project led by the COLOMBIAN AIR FORCE since 2012, demonstrating that it is possible live legally, building a better country.

 

A new project begins to take a life in Vichada, with production of sugar cane, honey and other products from the sugar cane; the Colombian Air Force, through the Task Force Ares has promoted this initiative, therefore, facilitated the transport of equipment and specialized staff, making the installation of a sugar mill in G眉erima, municipality of Cumabiro, which will bring well-being and sustainability to the inhabitants of these lands, in the east of Colombia.
