Thanks to the follow-up technical visits led by the Air Combat Command No. 6 in coordination with the Committee of Cacao Producers, PROCACAO, the National Cacao Fund, FEDECACAO, and the Municipal Mayor's Office of Solano, the Cacao farmers of the Comprehensive Project of the Colombian Southeast in Caquetá, continue to strengthen their knowledge.
During these activities, the producers living in the village of Mecaya and in the municipality of Solano received advice on key processes such as planting, growth, maintenance and recuperation of plantations, with the aim of improving production, raising the quality of the grain, contributing to the sustainability of Amazonian Cacao and contributing to the substitution of illicit plantations for productive projects.
At the end of the visit, the participants expressed their gratitude for the positive impact that growing Cacao on their farms has generated, “They taught us very well, I learned too much (...) This project has given well-being to my family and thanks to Cacao I have bought the things for my house, I feel very grateful,” commented Yulieth Muñoz, one of the beneficiaries.
