The Omega Task Force of Colombian National Army, within the framework of military operations, framed in the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan and through intelligence work, reported the finding of a camp with two hideouts of war materiel in the village Triunfo II, of the municipality of La Macarena, department of Meta.
This camp would belong to the residual organized armed group Structura Jhon Linares, of the Jorge Suárez Briceño Bloc, who seek to take territorial control and expand their illicit activities in this area.
During this operation, more than 1650 rounds of ammunition of different calibers for long- and short-range firearms and 35 magazines were found by troops.
This material would be distributed and used by this structure, with the purpose of carrying out terrorist attacks against the inhabitants and the Military Forces.
The material was taken of the place and handed over to the authorities to carry out the relevant investigations.
Through this result it was possible to directly neutralize the criminal plans of alias Calarcá, the main ringleader of this organized armed group, and his terrorist operations in this area of southeastern Colombia.
