This is the second phase of an operation against criminal networks who perpetrate drug trafficking, extortion, murders and the use of minors in crimes, among others.

The National Army, in military operations, together with the National Police and attending to early warning No.026 of 2018, thanks to information of the network of civic participation, captured 21 people reported to belong to the Organized Crime Group, GDO, known as  Los Pamplonas.

The military operation, carried out in the framework of the Operation José Inocencio Chincá, which seeks to attack the problem of drug trafficking, was carried out in two phases: one, in the first week of July, when 23 individuals were captured with the support of the Attorney General's office, and the other, with the participation of the Sijin (Judicial Police) of the National police ; carried out in the urban area of the municipality of Rionegro, in Antioquia, where military and police men made effective the search warrants for 19 criminals who were captured; two more who were caught red-handed.

During the operation, a car, three motorcycles, narcotics and 12 communications units were seized.

As it could be established by the authorities, those captured would be responsible for conspiracy offences for aggravated crimes; manufacture, trafficking and carrying of narcotic drugs; manufacture, trafficking and carrying of firearms, as well as use of minors for offences.

Those captured were put into custody of the judicial authorities. Once the process of legalization hearings was carried out, 19 of them were put into prison.
