Troops of the Quirón Task Force, a unit of the Eighth Division, in coordination with the National Police, through specialized intelligence, in tactical tasks of reconnaissance and checks reported in Arauquita, in the department of Arauca, captured an alleged member of the residual organized armed group, Structure Martín Villa.
Alias “Pollo,” 38, was wanted by arrest warrant issued by the Specialized Prosecutor, for the crime of conspiracy to commit an aggravated crime. This individual apparently would be in charge of collecting money from extortion and criminal intelligence and terrorist operations against the Public Force that provides security to the Caño Limón - Coveñas pipeline.
With the capture of alias “Pollo”, this illegal structure loses its terrorist capacity in the urban and rural areas of the municipality of Arauquita; in the same way, its logistical and financial support in this part of the country is neutralized.
The individual opposed the arrest when requested by the troops of the Military and Police Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), but he was finally put into custody of the judicial authorities, who put him into prison.
