In the framework of the Heroes of Freedom Campaign Plan, troops of the Vulcano Task Force, in an inter-institutional work with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, captured alias Veinte - Veinte in a rural area of the municipality of Sardinata, in the department of Norte de Santander. Alias Veinte Veinte, is the alleged main ringleader of the organized armed group (GAO) Los Pelusos, specifically the substructure Víctor Ramón Navarro.
The operation was carried out in the hamlet El Diamante, a place where soldiers of the Ground Operations Battalion No.9, with the support of the Group for Personal Freedom, Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), captured this individual.
According to investigations, Veinte-Veinte, with 9 years in the criminal organization, apparently had under his command a strategic mobility route, established between the municipalities of Puerto Santander and Sardinata, in Norte de Santander. In addition, he would be in charge of collecting money extorted from merchants, transporters and miners in the sector.
The man, who had in his possession three firearms, two units of communication equipment and cash, was taken to the city of Cúcuta and put into custody of the authorities.
