In the village El Barranco, in the municipality of Corinto, department of Cauca, in response to a warning on a social protest in the Miraflores Hacienda to be conducted by the indigenous community of the area, troops of the High Mountain Battalion No. 8, arrived and later captured the individual that the last 4 of January attacked a member of the Army by putting a machete on his neck.
The assault, which was recorded on video, was the reason for the Second Municipal Criminal Court in Puerto Tejada, Cauca, to issue an arrest warrant for the crimes of violence against public servants and disturbance.
At the time of the capture, this individual had with him a hand grenade, with which, apparently, would attack on the troops that went to the place of concentration. In the same way, it was evident that this person had changed his physical appearance to evade the authorities.
The man and the material were put into custody of the authorities to continue the judicial process.
