In a joint, coordinated and inter-institutional operation, troops of the Caguán Specific Command, attached to the Omega Joint Task Force, in coordination with the National Police, captured alias 'Iván Suaza', alleged member of the Residual organized armed group Structure 40, in San Vicente del Caguán, in Caquetá.
In the hamlet Campo Hermoso, in the municipality of San Vicente del Caguán, in Caquetá, the men of the Caguán Specific Command in coordination with the Gaula of the National Police, realize court warrant issued for the crime of extortion by the Municipal Court of the municipality of Paujil, in Caquetá. Alias Iván Suaza, 49, who according to military and police intelligence reports had been carrying out illegal financing through extortions, sent extortion-type text messages, addressed to different guilds in the municipality of San Vicente del Caguán, in the name of alias Boyaco.
Currently, “Iván Suaza” would be responsible for the logistical and financial support of the Structure 40 in the municipality of San Vicente del Caguán.
With this result, a major blow is dealt to this residual organized armed group, taking into account that the command and control of this structure in Caquetá is hit; in the same way, its financing through the collection of extortion of the livestock and commercial sector in the region is weakened.
